On behalf of the Golf Club Committee, I would like to wish all members a very Happy New Year. Here’s hoping 2023 is happy, peaceful and prosperous for everyone.

AGM

Our annual AGM will be held in the Club House on Wednesday 8th February 2023 at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome, we really want to hear your constructive suggestions and ideas. It is your club, run for your benefit so please let us hear your views.

Committee/Office Bearers 

The Club is managed by a small band of volunteer members, and the same group have been serving on the Committee and as office bearers for multiple years. We are looking for “new blood”, we especially need a new Treasurer. A full and comprehensive handover will be offered to a new Treasurer, along with any necessary ongoing support, so if you have a few hours to spare most weeks, then please get in touch. Other posts will also be available so if you have an interest in a particular aspect of the Club then please contact us.

Fundraising

Our fundraising for Charities was outstanding last year, with both the Wigtown Rangers Supporters Club Scramble and the Ladies Closing Cancer Scramble being very popular and well supported. They will also be held again this year.

 We also need to look at fundraising for the club, particularly social events. If you have any fresh ideas, or are willing to help with our existing ones, then please let us know.
