Chris Robinson Golf Texas Scramble

Sunday 11th August saw Wigtown and Bladnoch GC play host to the Chris Robinson Golf Texas Scramble. In a weekend where bad weather was all around us, all teams managed to complete their rounds without getting rained on. The results were as follows:

1st J Telfer, J McLean, S Forrester, G Henry 56.2

2nd D McGinn, K Nicholson, N Whyte, M Macdonald 56.4

New Greens Mower curtesy of Kilgallioch Community Fund

We are delighted to unveil our latest purchase, a brand new Greens Mower which was supported by Kilgallioch Community Fund with funding from ScottishPower Renewables’ Kilgallioch Windfarm. It has certainly made a significant contribution towards the excellent condition of the course.

Cree Inn 4 Ball Better Ball

The Cree Inn Four Ball was played for on the 13th July in blustery conditions kindly sponsored by the Cree Inn. The club would like to thank the Cree Inn for their continued sponsorship. The results were as follows:

2nd – Richard Herries & Tom Simpson – 61

Scratch Winners – Fraser Hughes & Connor Bennewith – 63

2019 Grand Prize Draw

Many, many thanks to everyone who bought or sold our Grand Prize Draw tickets.We raised £1115 for club funds which is £485 more than last year! Well done to our major prize winners: I Nesbitt, Jessie Mary, Banjo and Kieran Cluckie.

Briars Engravers Mixed Open

The Briars Engravers Mixed Greensomes Open was played on Saturday at Wigtown and Bladnoch GC. Despite some poorer weather later in the day, we had 20 teams take part from all across the region and scoring was very good. Results were as follows:

1st M Ross + D Ross 64

2nd C McIntosh + L Lovsin 65.2

3rd M Cluckie + N Cluckie 65.2

Wigtown Community Festival Junior Golf

Wigtown & Bladnoch Golf Club were delighted to host the Junior Golf day as part of Wigtown Community Festival. The weather was very kind and everyone managed to stay dry.

The results were as follows:

18 hole Competition

1st Ben MacDonald 95 – 31 = 64 (bih)

2nd Aaron Milven 85 – 21 = 64

3rd Andrew Cannon 95 -25 =70

Chipping & Putting Competition

1st Rowan Lloyd 92 points

2nd Finlay Kennedy 76 points

3rd Bob Thomson 55 points
