The Magnificent Seven

Well done to our Ladies Captain and her Magnificent Sevens!

It has been a busy week for Wigtown and Bladnoch Golf Club Ladies Section under the leadership of our Ladies Captain, Christine Cannon. On Saturday 8th April seven ladies spent 3 hours each deep cleaning the Club House, and on Monday 10th a slightly different Magnificent Seven held a hugely successful Coffee and Cake day. Many, many thanks to all who provided lovely baking, and a huge thanks to all those whose came along to sample the fabulous spread. We raised an incredible £667 for Club funds!

Oh, how time flies! It’s the start of a new golf season. The season at Wigtown and Bladnoch Golf Club started officially today with the Captain v Vice Captain competition and the opening drives from Captain Richard Herries and Lady Captain Christine Cannon. A fun 9 holes were had by all and hopefully this lovely weather will continue for the rest of the season ☀️

New Members Open Day

Thank you to everyone who came along today to our Open Day. It was a great turnout and we hope you all enjoyed it. Many thanks to Matthew, Richard and Dennis who managed to keep all the children, (and some adults) organised and safe! After supervising the younger members with chipping and putting, the session finished with an adults Long Driving Competition. We hope that Captain Richard can drive straighter tomorrow for the opening Captain v Vice Captain competition!

A warm welcome to all our new members, we hope you enjoy yourselves at Wigtown & Bladnoch Golf Club. We are in the process of putting together a new members welcome pack, and will send it out in due course. Also keep an eye on Facebook for future events.
